Over it.

Okay. It's official. We are so over the hospital, chemo, and all things cancer.  Sat/Sunday Kyle's counts were bottomed out and we noticed his port was red and swollen.  Not a good sign.  First thing Monday morning Kyle had an appt, they checked for a blood clot and didn't find one, took blood and sure enough...an infection. Again.  Not nearly as bad as last time (obviously-- no septic shock this time and we caught it early!), but what it does mean is a week's sentence to the 9th floor for antibiotics, blood, and platelets.  And they had to rip out his port.  I said rip bc according to Kyle, there were scissors and a little tug of war going on to get that thing out.

So ya, happy fun week "off" huh?  Blahhhh.  I'm tired of coming home alone at night, I'm tired of the hospital, tired of eating out so much bc we're never home to eat dinner together, but whatever.  I can't complain.  There are people out there going through so much more.  What's a few more days in the hospital?

Another random thing, but really a serious matter.  So in the south, I mean Alabama, there are these nasty things that cause me to scream bloody murder when I see them and cringe just thinking about them.  Roaches!!!  I really really hate them.  Worse than spiders. And since it's hot, they are coming in for water and cooler temperatures.  And I swear to you, they all come out when Kyle's not here.  It's like they know I don't have the guts to kill them, bc I don't.

A friend once told me Windex kills them.  Well people, it's true.  I've done it.  Now Kyle is worried that he's going to come home to dead roaches and puddles of windex all over. Hey, our floors are really clean!

So here's what I'm grateful for this week:
-Windex
-Antibiotics
-Air conditioning

  3. That really sucks! I'm so sorry that he is back to the hospital grind. :( We need to get out and pound some frustrations into the pavement next weekend.
