Kyle convinced the Drs to let him leave the hospital on Friday just in time to come to GA with me for the weekend. Smooth talker or what? He convinced them to let him leave
w/ an IV in his arm, and to take his IV antibiotics from home, twice a day. After a rollercoaster of emotions that day (yes he's getting out, to no he's staying in until Monday, to yes he's getting out again) I picked him up at 6pm and we were on our way.
Yes, he did go to the movies with antibiotics in hand. Or pocket. Or drink holder. Whatever you prefer.
Saturday morning was crossfit with mom and then a
cool down hot run with Becca! Becca was in town for her bridal shower and it wouldn't be the same to see her and not go on a run. I miss our runs together badly. We did already decide that in 2013, we're running a marathon together though. The race?... TBD. But it's gonna happen people :)
Speaking of running, I have to admit, speed camp Tues mornings have gotten longer and harder. And competitive. Nothing like sprinting and feeling some random girl on your tail who's trying to pass you, that makes you run faster. Besides the non-stop humidy sweat at 5:30am, this camp is rocking. Today we did (5) 800s, with a mile warm up/cool down. Nothing long distance, but fun nonetheless.
OK now I'm scared to do running camp with you!! :O
ReplyDeleteThat makes me really want to do running camp, but I have totally slacked it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the antibiotics in the drink holder is classic. The movies will never be the same for him again.
