a 5k, date night, and free ice cream.

Kyle and I did our first race together since.... 2011.... (st. george tri. oh how i long to do that race again!).  Kyle's been doing crossfit so he signed us both up for the Crossfit 5k.  Aka- work out, run, do burpees in the mud, run, workout, run and workout, etc.  It was over an hour and pretty killer, but so much fun!
Note to self: that green shirt cannot be worn again until i get a tan.
Date night Friday night was at the Alabama Theater.  The med school puts on a "Best Medicine Show" every year that is a fundraiser for the student run health clinic for the under served population. Basically students get together and make videos making "fun" of med school and there are performances and acts in between the videos.  I was impressed by all of the videos and we definitely had a good laugh.

Saturday night we went to a friend's engagement party and then hit up Brusters FREE ice cream.  They had a deal going where if you wore your pj's you got a free waffle cone.  It was awesome!

Speaking of Alabama, Rolla and I are officially Alabamians.  And I'm officially DONE with the DMV. forever. I'm never moving, never getting a new car, or doing anything that would require me to go back again..... for a looooong time at least.  2 trips, 7.5 hrs later, here's the proof:

And I'm not sure what has gotten into me lately, but I've been all into pinterest recipes.  This balsamic chicken is so delicious and healthy!  And the crock pot beef with broccoli is definitely a winner.  Both are so quick and easy.  You gotta try them.

  1. You look adorable in all your photos!

I would have been ALL about wearing PJs to get free ice cream, I would spend a large majority of my life in PJs if I had the option :)

  3. I finally decided to use pinterest too! Mainly because I kept losing recipes that I meant to mark. I was really trying to avoid it for as long as possible because I knew it would take over my life.:)

Hate the AL DMV! Even when they had other ones open, it was a pain in the butt. The AL laws just get on my nerves so badly, but living next to the cool people here makes up for it.
