Confession: I cried the day Kyle got admitted to the bone marrow unit.
Truth: It's going about how we expected and how the nurses warned us. This week was a little rough for Kyle, but next week we should see some progress!
Confession: I want nothing more for my birthday than Kyle to be healthy and strong...and to come home.
Truth: That will be day +15. Average discharge day is around +18 dang it. (Honestly though, I would rather him get discharged when he's absolutely strong enough so we don't have to come back!)
Confession: I never thought I would call my husband and have to ask him how many times he had walked that day.
Truth: Walking is the key to getting out the earliest the Drs say. And doing breathing exercises on the spirometer.
Confession: Kyle has been playing video games to pass the time. well, when he's feeling decent.
Truth: He's not very good at them.
Confession: I hate to read (unless it's magazines or blogs)
Truth: I've read one book and am reading my second one right now. This is huge people. 2 books in one month thanks to the BMT unit.
Confession: Deep down Kyle hoped he would defy the odds and not lose his hair again.
Truth: It all washed out in the shower this week. But his eyebrows are still hanging on for now.
Overall everything is going well. We're on schedule and the nurses say they are so surprised at how well he's doing. 2 weeks down, 1.5ish more to go!

I'm glad to hear y'all are doing well! We need to celebrate when he gets out!
