the future.

Cancer is a scary.  Cancer is hard.  Cancer is so unfair.  You never think it will happen to you (or your husband), because heck, everyone knows "someone" with it.  And then suddenly it does, and worry and fear set in.  What if chemo doesn't work? What if it comes back? What if? What if?

Well, there's only one thing to do, and that's to know that there is a plan.  And really, we can't control what happens, so we just relax and keep the faith in what we feel and know. 

And get sweet little reminders.  Even if it is a fortune cookie from the chinese restaurant adjacent to the hospital.

 

Hospital week...DONE.  Now rest and recovery.

    Can't wait to run in the morning (why am I still awake?). I love this post. It's so true that we don't know our future so we just have to enjoy and make the most of each day. But sometimes I wish we could get a little glimpse into the future. Fortune cookies are like the Chinese version of the spirit. Giving little hints to tell us that things will work out.
