ice ice baby

Where did the weekend go? It was great. Things that got done around here: studying, studying, Christmas tree assembling and decorating, studying, Breaking Dawn, running, church, and more studying. I'm sure you can guess which ones I did. And by the way, Breaking Dawn was good. I liked it. A little more graphic than expected (which I haven't read the book so couldn't expect a whole lot) and it definitely made me not ever want to get pregnant. And made me think I was all at the same time. Now I just need to read the book so I see what happens from here...

And I did make it home alive after the 17 mile run. Barely. It was by far the hardest run of my life. Maybe it's because I hit the wall at mile 10. I knew it was a bad day. Gah I just couldn't get my mind right. Did I mention running is SO mental. Oh did I also mention it was sprinkling when we began? Mmmm hmmm. Thank goodness Steph carried me through. I let her go a little at the end. Not gonna lie, I stopped at 16.5. Stopped. I told myself I could sit there and wait as long as I needed, but I was going to run the rest of the way. So a minute or 2 later, I hit the road again. And wanted to puke when I got to my car. Awesome I know. Hopefully this week's 18 goes better!

What felt surprisingly better than I thought was this:

My first ice bath. I did it and my legs thanked me afterwards. Here's to a short work week! Wahoooo
