Mixed emotions

The past 2 weeks have been busy, fun, happy, and sad.

Busy... I was finally able to find a job (temporarily until I find my "career") with Comcast. I was able to start the first week in August, so Kyle and I have been busy working. We're so grateful for our jobs though.

Happy... the beginning of the month started out with victory for Kyle and his softball team. They finished the summer league as softball champions and now sport "the most coveted shirts on campus." It's been fun watching all the games and cheering Kyle on!

Sad... Grandpa Johnson passed away on August 4th. It was sad and emotional to see him go, and to see grandma missing him. But we were lucky to be able to go over Sunday night to see him one last time. We were able to be there for the family prayer, and Kyle was able to participate in the family blessing, representing my dad. It was a special, spiritual experience.

Fun... I was pleasantly surprised when I got a text message from my mom on Thursday after grandpa passed away, saying that the entire family was coming out for the funeral. We had a great weekend together! Sat Kyle took Brandon out shooting. Sunday we were all able to go to our cousin McCall's baby blessing, and Monday was the funeral. Grandpa's funeral was the best funeral I have, and probably will, ever attend. He was a righteous, loving man that has made a positive influence on everyone around him.
