happy early birthday to me.

I finally did it.  I invested in a bike that weighs less than my body weight.  Four years later, I decided I really do love road biking and doing triathlons, and really hate having a crappy, heavy bike and being the last one to finish a ride.

Unlike other sports, did you know you can literally buy time depending on the bike you're riding? In other words: a nicer bike= faster time.  I didn't get the most expensive one that's for sure, but I got a great deal on a 2013 Felt that is much much nicer than my cheapo steel-framed smurf. (thank you for clearancing out 2013 models in august Felt!)

I'm so grateful for my awesome husband who encourages me to stay in shape, set goals, and race!  Plus he's pretty great for setting it all up for me.

One day we'll do this stuff in a garage.  haha

Saturday morning we hit the road and it was a blast! Even climbing hills was fun.  Can't wait for the tri! wohooooooo!
