Burritos, football, and a long run

This weekend was busy!  Friday night we hit up Izzio Burrito (? or something) bc we had a groupon and the food was... ehh...not impressive. I don't think I'd even buy the groupon again and definitely not eat there full price.  Then we hit up DQ bc those blizzard commercials have been getting to me and I've been crrraaaving one for weeks.  Stomachs full we came home, played w/ Lilo and took her on a walk, Kyle watched the Utah State game in hopes that the U would get beat, and I fell asleep.  I love training, but waking up for early runs= a tired girl at night.

Oh did I mention that Utah lost?!  Poor guys.  And they're about to get beat again this Saturday.  #BYUFANFORLIFE

Sorry, I just couldn't resist the hashtag there for ya

Saturday's run was 18 miles.  And I know I complain about the humidity, but enough is enough already.  I cannot wait until I wake up to a crisp morning. Oh wait, that happened today. One day later than we needed it... but I'm not complaining bc it was gorgeous! I hear the "cooler" weather is supposed to stick around this week. Here's a glimpse of what we look like after 18 miles.

Photo stolen from Lisa's iphone, like usual ;)

Maybe it's too early to say this, but I've concluded a couple things while taking on training for marathon numero 2:  a) training is much less painful on the joints this time around  b) muscle memory is real

After the run we headed to the farm to celebrate Papa's birthday. More pictures and posts on the rest of the weekend later.

  1. Can't wait for it to be crisp for our 20 on Saturday. Fingers (and toes) crossed! Every week I think that this has to be the end, but then it keeps going.
