home again.

We're home again! I don't want to jinx anything, but it feels so good. Kyle's body will need a few weeks to recover from the sepsis before chemo again, but we'll be busy going to appts, getting blood drawn, seeing the cardiologist, etc. He's actually going to take iv antibiotics from home for the next 2 weeks. He has an iv bag hanging off the couch right now... weird.

Did I mention we're moving on Thursday? Yes, in the midst of all of this we're moving into a cute little house we're going to rent. It has 2 bedrooms so we can have family stay with us to help Kyle. We are beyond excited to move into the house. But life feels so weird right now. I've never had so many big unexpected changes in so little time. Learning to go with the flow and take it a day at a time. Lilo also moved to GA for the next 6 months. sad, but hopefully this will all be over before you know it.

Last week I didn't have an appetite, didn't feel like running, and just felt so out of control of my life. It's hard to describe. Just go with me for now. Saturday my plan was to go for a run in the afternoon and feel much better. Instead I packed up the apt w/ my mom all afternoon and was exhausted. I've been trying to convince myself every morning at 5:30am that I'll feel better if I just get up and work out. That never happened. Until yesterday.

running can...

improve your mood. Regular exercise can increase self-confidence and lower the symptoms associated with mild depression and anxiety. Exercise also can improve your sleep, which is often disrupted by stress, depression and anxiety. All this can ease your stress levels and give you a sense of command over your body and your life. I'm 2 for 2 this week. Bring it on.

  2. Wait, which side of 31 are you on? Also if your dog ever needs a place to stay in b-town, my kids would be so happy to help me dog sit. Glad Kyle is back and that you got in some running. The stress relief is so necessary right now!
