creepy crawling things

Tonight was festive. Halloween parties alll night. Homewood run celebrated the "official last run" (NOT) of the season. With the time changing soon it will be dark @ 5:30pm. Bring on the head lamps/lights, this running party ain't stopping any time soon. It's only just beginning...

Post-run there was a rockin' party on the square w/ food --chips, cokes, hot dogs, you know, all the food runners like to eat. Hello, that's why we run. Oh and the thriller dance performed was my favorite part! Next year, sign me up for the dance! just kidding.

Then we headed over to trunk or treat at the church where our costumes were oh so impressive. Runners. So original I know! The kids however were adorable! My first child will be a chicken. girl or boy. I wish I had the picture to show you just how adorable the little chick was.

And last but not least, let me leave you with my halloween tale of creepy crawly things that made me gag at work today:

Rewind. So yesterday I came down with a sore throat. Last week everyone at work was sick, and a week later it hit me. ugh. So sweet Kyle decided to "help" me last night and get me a cold glass of water and a ricola in bed. The lights were off in the room and kyle proceeds to place it in my mouth bc "it's sticky."

Fast forward. This morning I grab the bag of ricola on my way out the door. I get to work and go to pop one in my mouth only to find this:

Ants. Dead ants. I tried to convince myself it was probably just this one. But, the next 3 I opened looked exactly like it. The only difference was the number of ants. SO last night I ate ants. And if there ever is a chinese medicine tale that involves ants and healing sore throats, I'm here to tell you, it doesn't work. But if you want to test your gag reflexes, it's good at that.
