Bike Thief

So here is the story. In honor of Steve and Steph...

Last Wedn, about 8pm we got a call from our neighbor Analee. She asked us if our bikes were parked outside and proceeded to tell us what she had seen. She told me how she had just left the apt and saw a 40 year old, tan, weird looking guy walking around suspiciously before taking off on a bike that she knew didn't belong to him. We immediately ran outside and sure enough, discovered the new neighbor's bikes had been stolen.

Whether it was the guilt we had of failing to warn them about the bike thief from the past, or wanting to get revenge on the dude who probably stole Steve's mountain bike, Kyle immediately decides he's going to go catch him. Joe (another neighbor) hops in his truck and Kyle on his bike, and with a little teamwork, they track him DOWN.

Joe screeches around the block and lets Kyle know which alleys he's riding down. Kyle ends up cornering the home boy and as he's catching up to him, watches him completely wipe out in the middle of Center St. Apparently he had turned around to see where Kyle was and woops! Turned his bike a little too sharp.

So road rash and all, bike man takes off on foot. Kyle goes over to the police station and Joe picks up the crashed bike on Center St. The police end up catching him on foot and Kyle meets them to identify the guy.

But not only did they catch the thief, but they found the other mountain bike that was hidden under a blue tarp in the parking lot of the apt complex that Kyle and Joe originally found the thief in.

So Steve, we searched through the numerous bikes that were under that tarp hoping to find yours. Sadly we did not. But the new neighbors were relieved and Kyle & Joe were pretty happy to see the guy ride off in the cop car. Oh Provo!
